I love sports. In high school, I was a solid three-sport athlete (basketball, football, track and field). I dreamed of getting a scholarship, but even with a #2 rank in the entire CCS and a 3.9 GPA, my only option was to walk on.
At UC Davis, I tried out for the track and field team three times and missed the cut three years in a row. I finally asked the coach for feedback. He told me something that changed my life. He said, “You don’t know how to run or jump.” What?!?!
So after years of playing competitive sports, I found out I was doing it all wrong. He broke it down for me and that summer I spent countless hours learning how to run and jump. In my senior year, I almost broke the school record for the high jump and then almost made the Olympics in 2012. But I was haunted by “What if I would have known this sooner?”
With that insight, I’ve been on a mission to train young athletes on the fundamentals of movement to maximize their potential.
I did my post-graduate in Exercise Biology, Physics, Anatomy, and Physiology. I’m certified in almost every fitness organization and have trained over 6000 athletes — I’m addicted. Using math, science, and biomechanics, we break it down for each individual athlete or team. We keep it simple, but we pay attention to the details and measure the results.
